The first of the 30 strong team of the Toyota Conservation Outreach arrived a week ago to start with preparation, but most will arrive today. The campsite at the game ranger’s camp of Twanana is bustling with activity as the final preparation and testing of equipment are underway.
The skill and precision to orchestrate such an outreach, can only be found in the formidable team of Gerhard & Elmarie Groenewald who have decades of experience, not to mention the running of 7 success 4x4 Eco Challenge events.
The use of the magnificent Twanana campsite has graciously been permitted by SanParks. Johan Oelofse, Sectional Game Ranger of Mopani, has been instrumental in the preparation and onsite logistics before the journey starts tomorrow morning.
